Temirservice Astana operates more than 45 km of its own access and connecting railway tracks in Astana and provides railway communication with its customers in the capital. The company is a natural monopoly entity for the provision of tracks for the supply and removal of cars and shunting operations for consumers of goods delivered by rail to Astana. The TSA tracks have a direct connection with the railway stations “Sorokovaya” and “Astana”, which are specified in the specification of the KTZ as the station of departure/destination of goods arriving to Astana.
In 2018-2019, in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Company built a private freight railway station in Kazakhstan, which is fully integrated into the KTZ railway network and has become an important hub connecting railway cargo traffic from the regions of Kazakhstan, Russia and China.
