Temirservice Astana operates more than 45 km of its own access and connecting railway tracks in Astana and provides railway communication with its customers in the capital. The company is a natural monopoly entity for the provision of tracks for the supply and removal of cars and shunting operations for consumers of goods delivered by rail to Astana. The TSA tracks have a direct connection with the railway stations “Sorokovaya” and “Astana”, which are specified in the specification of the KTZ as the station of departure/destination of goods arriving to Astana.

In 2018-2019, in partnership with the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the Company built a private freight railway station in Kazakhstan, which is fully integrated into the KTZ railway network and has become an important hub connecting railway cargo traffic from the regions of Kazakhstan, Russia and China.

Company provides the following types of services on the territory of the industrial zone and Industrial Park of Astana:

• Provision of an access road for the passage of rolling stock, provided there is no competitive access road;

• Provision of an access road for shunting, loading and unloading, other technological operations of the transportation process, as well as for parking of rolling stock not provided for by technological operations of the transportation process, provided there is no competitive access road;

• Dispatching services for the carrier engaged in the supply/removal of cars on the railway tracks of Temirservice Astana;

• Services to ensure traffic safety and compliance with technological process;

Payment for the use of cars;

Restoration work on the rail road section;

Supply/removal of cars;

Shunting operations.

Digitalization

and automation

To optimize and improve the efficiency of business processes, TSA has developed and implemented a software, including the ASTRA mobile application. This application made it possible to automate the activities of the foot-plate staff and a shunting dispatcher, as well as improved customer interaction. In order to automate the work of managers with contracts and applications a web application was created additionally. The ASTRA mobile application is designed to effectively interact with customers, allowing to apply for services online, integrate with accounting systems and reduce the time required to complete tasks.
